Can we talk Fantasy Football, just for a moment? This year, I'm playing again with Flippy and Leigh-Ann, along with some of their other friends. I enjoy fantasy sports, even though most of the time I feel utterly clueless; for example, when I'm making a roster change I usually have no inkling as to whether it's a very good move or a very bad move - could go either way. Mostly I just hang on and hope that I do well enough not to be a complete laughingstock.
With the live draft in football, I'm usually even more lost. I pay attention and watch everyone's picks, yet when I go to select one of the guys I wanted, he's already taken. Or I'm picking fourth, but the top 5 quarterbacks and the top 4 running backs are already gone - which I realize is mathematically impossible, that's just the general disconcerted feeling I have during the draft. Both last year and this year, I made notes about whom to draft but this year, I think I was more successful in getting guys I wanted. I was pretty happy with my team going into Week One.
I not only won my first game, right now I'm leading the league! I scored more points than anyone! I'm not bragging so much as astounded - but pleased and excited, too. I don't expect my reign to last, but for now I'm #1, it's making me happy and I'm posting about it. By the way, this year my team is called the Amazing Spiderpigs, a Homer Simpson reference.

I'm sad. My team sucks total ass. Hey, can I say that with your mom around? Oh well, can't take it back now. Plus, it's true. Not only does my football team suck total ass, but my baseball team rocked the whole season (even though it wasn't very good, but I was a terrific manager, if I do say so myself...and I do), and now, in the playoffs, when it really matters, I'm losing. I swear, I think my brother is going to win and he was 39.5 games out of first place. MY place. Right now, I'm being beaten by the fourth place team.
On a happier note, sort of, I just finished Lamb, which Leigh-Ann told me to tell you. I loved the book, although the end left much to be desired. Although, I hear Joshua is coming back, any time now. (Jew-do...ahahahahaha - I loved the corny bits)

Sure, you can say 'ass' in front of my mom. I do, often. I even drop the occasional F Bomb. She hardly ever puts me in time out anymore.

Also, I'm sorry your baseball team has decided to lose in the playoffs. And I hope your football team improves - after this week.
