Saturday was a pretty good day. Alan and I went to dinner at Michaelangelo, a fabulous local restaurant, and then watched my friend Anne play Mother Mary Regina in the musical comedy "Nunsense". It was hilarious and fun. Anne's performed that play four times with various theatre troupes, and I've seen her at least once every time. I'm a regular Anne-Groupie.
Sunday I didn't do much, lazed and read a book, worked a little on the hardwood floor, played ball with Sprocket.
K'vitsh tagged me for this meme: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're embarrassing, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your Livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.
Okay, here you go:
"Live With Me", The Rolling Stones
"Sartori in Tangier", King Crimson <---- without words!
"We're Going To Be Friends", The White Stripes
"Presto", Rush <---- my brother's fault!
"Badge", Cream
"Paralyzed", Sixpence None The Richer
"Girl From Ipanema", Astrid Gilberto <---- with Stan Getz!
Hmmm, I can't think of seven people to tag. Lachele, Bo, Flippy, and anyone else who reads this who'd like to participate, I guess.

Well, ok...I'll get a jump on things-It is somewhat difficult for me; as most anyone who knows me should know, I'm usually much more into whole albums rather than individual songs. That said...
So What?-Ministry
Funeral Portrait-Opeth
Wadi Rum-Renaud Garcia-Fons
Games Without Frontiers-Peter Gabriel
Rockin in the Free World-Neil Young
Girl Anachronism-Dresden Dolls
Heart Full of Soul-Rush's unplugged acoustic version of the Yardbirds's classic.
Cheers,
Bo

Man, that reminds me: must put "Feedback" back into the Hellmobile. I need me some Rushified "Seeker". Heather will approve of your list - she digs the Dresden Dolls.

The new R30 DVD is well worth it...that's where the acoustic version can be found. As well as my new fave Rush lyric-"We are the Pirates...of the Temples....of Syrinx...Avast Matey!" As far as the Dresden Dolls, I think they are, without a doubt, the best new band I've heard in the last 5 years. I'm not sure if it is because they rule that hard or if it because most new bands suck that hard, but that CD seems to get tons of play in my car.
Cheers,
Bo

I would have tagged you but I figured you were too busy picking reconstituted raisins out of poo. (Side note: between you, Nancy and Sandy, all these tales of Poo Horror are doing NOTHING to sway me on the procreation question. I'm just sayin'.)
