The Hellhole

I have no comments on the Formula One race in Malaysia because I didn’t watch it. Instead, I went to Athens to attend a wine-tasting at Jennings Hill Country Club. Oooh, doesn’t that sound all adult and cosmopolitan of me? Apparently, the folks at Team Ferrari were so dejected by my disloyal conduct that they didn’t even bother to win. My apologies to all the tifosi and I promise to tune in for Bahrein, boring though that circuit may be.

Even without a dose of F-1 racing goodness, I had a wonderful Saturday. The wine-tasting was interesting and informative, the wines were very good except for one with a distinct aroma of dung, although the sommelier insisted it was merely “earthy”, and the hors d’oeuvres were quite tasty. Afterwards, we hung out at Nancy & Mark’s house a bit to envy their Mac laptops and listen to Anthony bellow in outrage at being consigned to bed while we were up HAVING FUN. Alan wants a G-4 powerbook like Nancy’s while I envied Mark’s (I forget the specific designation but it’s silver, sleeker and wee - mega-spiffy).

Sunday I was lazy, spending the entire day either playing PS2 or watching Alan play; Katamari Damacy is the simplest game, yet utterly addictive. As Monday loomed ever nearer, however, I got increasingly more stressed over my work situation(s), finally even shedding some tears before going to bed for a whopping 3.5 hours of sleep. This morning, my stomach is very upset and Aunt Flo has arrived with horrible, crampy vengeance. Which is good, because, you know, I just wasn’t QUITE miserable enough.

To leave you on a positive note, however, I shall update the prior theme of the inventive names from which I am receiving spam these days. Recent senders include Ferocious G. Cuttlefish, Baptist B. Leftovers, Masochist D. Unevenness, Phipps J. Washbowls, Chemist P. Jodhpurs, Fixedly R. Sebaceous, Workbook S. Sophomore, Mild P. Hieroglyphics, Clapboarding O. Surtaxing, Faith F. Gophers. Grrr - what’s with that last one? They weren’t even trying.

MONTOYA DELENDA EST!

  • Those names - just put them on the list for your future spawn. I think there's a lot of possibility there.
