The Hellhole

I have very thick, long hair - not as long as my sister-in-law's, but pretty long. My husband got me the greatest present: a high-end, imported, handmade hairbrush! Seriously, did you have any idea there was such a thing? I didn't. It's great! The hairbrush itself came with its own little cleaning brush. He read about them at this site - Heather, brace yourself, there's a moleskine on the front page. I had no idea that high-end brushes existed; I knew those you bought at the salon were more expensive than those at the drug store but it didn't occur to me that there was much difference. This one is fantastic, though. I have such a wonderful, thoughtful husband (thanks, Nancy!)

He also got me hot pink ear buds to match my hot pink iPod (matching is a Very Big Thing with me) and a new Guitar Hero game - Rock the 80s, with tunes like Holy Diver, Wrathchild, We Got The Beat - yay, fun! Then tonight we're going out to this indescribably fabulous restaurant for dinner. Here are some pictures of my pressies. He even wrapped, and put pink flower stickers on - awwwww!

  • Hey, I knew about fancy hairbrushes - do I get bonus points for it, even though I haven't needed a brush in, well, many years? I hope your scalp will always be "gently stimulated".

Happy birthday!!! And, happy friendship anniversary. Thanks, Nancy. :) I got a two fer one.

  • Happy belated birthday, Helly!

That's the one thing I miss about the metro Atlanta area: all the nifty restaurants. Not that we don't have variety here: there's 3 Chinese places and 2 Mexican! The Italian place moved because Hartselle won't go wet.
