I saw one of the funniest, coolest, most brilliant video game moments ever last night, while playing Guitar Hero II. In each set list, there is an encore song that appears if you do well enough on the other songs in the set, and this particular encore was "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight" by Spinal Tap.

So I played the song, Guitar Hero II being every bit as much fun as the first one [and an incidental thank-you shout-out to Keelyn, John, Eliza & Mike, from whom it was a Christmas gift]. The song finished and the little animated drummer lifted his arms over his head and brought them down on his drums with a mighty crash.

Then he spontaneously combusted.
