The Hellhole

I was all set to blog last night and our intarweb was working only intermittantly; I didn't bother because the on-and-off web access wasn't irritating me (I could read my book, play a video game, have a bubble bath) but if I'd carefully written a whole post and the problem caused it to be lost, THEN I would have been irked. Of course tonight it's working fine and I remember nothing that I was going to write.

Thanksgiving was nice. We spent Thursday with Alan's family, which worked well because my brother and his wife spent the day with her family. Friday and Saturday we worked on our floors putting down trim and thresh-holds, so parts of it are actually finished now (YAY!!!). Then we had a second Thanksgiving on Sunday at my parents' house with the aforementioned sibling and wife, who brought me a nice bottle of Spanish wine as a belated birthday gift. I'm having a glass now, and 'tis quite good.

Due to holidays, home improvements, one thing and another, my schedule is awry. I painted my toenails tonight, finished just a few moments ago, and that is ALL wrong. Pedicure night at The Hellhole is Sunday night and it has been so since time out of mind. Then I had to wash my hair last night, and of all the nights of the week Monday is NEVER hair-washing night...I feel all grumpy and out-of-sorts. I'm a person who likes her schedule, darn it.

Here is something that I truly enjoyed - I'd say with about 85% as much delight as that with which I adored A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown when I was a wee kidlet (and that's a LOT): Hey Ya Charlie Brown.

  • That song is inexplicably one of my favorite songs of all time. (Me, loving an Outkast song? Nonsense) It is, in fact, the only song I have *ever* purchased as a download. Plus, with those crazy Peanuts kids dancing...awesome.

  • I quite like Outkast. Andre 3000 and Big Boi are from right here in the A-T-L. I love how perfectly the music fits the cartoon clips - my favorite part is Snoopy twirling his supper dish on his head.

  • That was wonderful! Unfortunately it woke Anthony up and he came out of his room to scold me for making noise because he was taking a nap. He's not an Outkast fan.

  • I wouldn't worry unless he starts to express an affinity for show tunes.
