Random Bits and Pieces

The CD player in the Hellmobile has ceased to function. This displeases me. I am disgruntled firstly because it's a personality quirk of mine that I don't mind doing without a thing at all (if, for instance, the Hellmobile didn't have a CD player but only a radio), but I absolutely despise owning something that will not work as it's supposed to work. Secondly, it's a 6-disc changer and 3 of my favorite CDs, including my brand new Muse CD, are stuck inside. It won't eject anything, play anything, or switch discs. I don't know when I'll ever be able to get it repaired, a consequence of time, not money; the dealership is 25 minutes away in the direction opposite to work and I just don't have a half-day to spare, during the workweek or any weekend in the near future, dealing with this issue. So I grumble instead.

Sunday morning I woke up with all the symptoms of a sprained ankle: swelling, soreness, bruising. However, I was fine all day Saturday, didn't do anything to it, no missteps while out running errands and fine that evening. Evidently, my innate klutziness has surpassed all prior expectations and I have managed to sprain an ankle in my sleep.

Tonight we are going to Athens for the debut performance of Valentine Wolfe. The show doesn't start until 10:30, so we're staying overnight. I hope to see some of my friends who live in Athens, tonight or tomorrow, as well as The Sibling and his lovely wife. Everyone in the vicinity is encouraged to attend. It's a record release party for Unavox's latest, Angels Dance Upwards.

  • Tasty World. Ankle is...okay, I can't whine too much, but if you come tonight you can see that it's still swollen (visibly larger than the left one).
