Everyone, meet ESME!!!!

Good people, I am pleased to present to you Esmeralda Margaret Note Spelling of Lancre!

If you don't know the reference, her name comes from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, the same source as Mister Fusspot's name. (Mister Fusspot's registered AKC name is actually Sir Federico Fusspot of Ankh-Morpork, because his dad is Sir Cesar Federico, and he is a total little fusspot.)

As for Esme's nomenclature, after local witch Magrat Garlick marries King Verence and has a little daughter, she wants to make sure her child isn't saddled with the same spelling mistake from which she suffers. (squeee! pink puppeh toes!)

Unfortunately, the officiant doesn't realize that part of Magrat's note is directed to him, and christens the new princess, "Esmeralda Margaret Note Spelling of Lancre!"


She has blue eyes. I hope they stay that way; Lynda, the breeder, thinks they might since they've stayed blue this long.



She is a long-haired Chihuahua, just like Mister Fusspot. We got her from the same wonderful lady, Lynda at Chihuahua Depot, although Esme has a different dam than Mister Fusspot.


Is there anything cuter than a puppeh curled into a ball? I mean seriously.

I love Lynda. I can't recommend her highly enough, and the praise our vet showered on Mister Fusspot as "a textbook perfect example of the breed" and "I've never seen one with a sweeter temperament"...well, if you want a precious little dog, whether you want show or pet quality, Lynda will be sure to give you a solid, healthy, happy pup. And isn't that all that matters?

Say, you know when your goldfish goes belly-up the day after you win it at the fair, and there's nothing you can do except flush it?


It isn't the same with puppehs. That's free advice.

Vital stats: she was born 12 April 09, so she's almost 2 months old. She weighs less than a pound at the moment but she plans to grow, maybe as big as 4, 4.5 lbs. She hasn't decided yet.

Mister Fusspot thinks she smells funny, but is prepared to tolerate a pesky little sister.
