My friend John and I are discussing favorite adult beverages.
Me: A couple of weeks ago I bought a bottle of raspberry-flavoured Absolut. I love that stuff, so I don't buy it often.
John: Oh, you love it a little too much?
Me: Yeah, extremely. Ever tried it?
John: No, I'm allergic to vodka.
Me: Really? I've never heard of that.
John: Yes, I have a really bad reaction to it. Couple of glasses of vodka and the next thing I know, I wake up in unfamiliar places without any clothes on next to ugly women.
BWAHAHAHAHA! I *heart* John.

Did you try the grappa or that other thing yet? How were they?

I haven't tried the grappa yet, though I look at it longingly whenever I open the wine cabinet. I had Googled to find out if one served it chilled or at temperature (chilled) and in the course of that, learned that it is QUITE potent. Add to the fact that after further reading, I am certain that I will like it very much, and afraid I'll have one more taste, and just another sip, and only a wee top-off, and before I know it, will overindulge. So I don't want to open it until someone (you???) is here to help consume it.
The dessert wine I did try; it had the most lovely aroma and marvelous fruitiness. It was quite a bit sweeter than I'm used to but enjoyable nonetheless.
