The Hellhole

This isn't going to be a typical blog post in which I laugh at the absurdities that constitute my life. This is about the shittiest thing since shit came to Shit Town, except that "shitty" isn't a shitty enough word to describe how shitty I feel right now. Anyway, this is what's happened:

Mr. Michael Lee Wagy, age 60, of Covington, died June 7, 2007. Mr. Wagy was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of the VietNam War, having served with the Special Forces as a Green Beret. He was predeceased by his parents, Melford K. and Harriet E. Ross Wagy. Mr. Wagy is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mrs. Mikey Wagy of Covington; daughter and son-in-law, Helly and Alan Bowman of Conyers; son and daughter-in-law, Braxton Ballew and Sarah Black of Greenville, SC; brother, Guy Wagy; sister, Brenda Purvis of Covington; sister-in-law and husband, Betty and Artis Standard of Covington. Memorial services for Mr. Wagy will be held today, Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Harwell-Wheeler Funeral Home with Al Smith officiating. • My condolences to everyone, but particularly to Mikey, because I didn't know her address when I wrote to you guys. I'm so sorry. I had kept hoping to hear good news after the original bad diagnosis. If you need an ear or mailbox or cyber shoulder for anything, you know I'm here at all hours.

(I was going to sign my real name, but then I realized that you guys probably call me Flippy, and my real name refers to someone else)

  • Thank you, ladies. All of your thoughts and good wishes are much appreciated.

Flippy, we do usually say Flippy to distinguish from the other Nancy; if something is said about "Nancy", we generally ask for clarification as "Athens Nancy or Flippy Nancy?"
