My Computer Is Possessed

I was busy working on a spreadsheet Monday; the programs I had open were Excel, WordPerfect and Quickbooks.  Not only was I not looking at anything on line, I didn't even have a web browser open.  Suddenly my speakers started playing a Red Robin commercial.  It started about ten seconds before the end, played through the "Reeeeeeed Robin!" shout and then nothing.  I had no pop-ups or anything on my desktop and still have no idea why a piece of Red Robin commercial randomly played on my computer.

There's no real connection that I can think of, either.  We've eaten at RR exactly once, I don't follow them on Twitter or like them on Facebook.  (I'm not actually on Twitter or Facebook - yes, I'm the one.)  So I can't imagine why I was targeted for a Red Robin serenade.  It hasn't happened since, with Red Robin or anywhere else; therefore I have decided that my computer is possessed by demons.  Red Robin Demons.  The food isn't bad enough to be considered truly demonic, in fact the one time we ate there it was pretty good, but still, that has to be it.  I'll let you know if I receive any other transmissions from beyond.

And the same evening I wrote this, the number of items in my newsfeed is 666, the number of the beast!  I'm telling you, demons are in my computer.

  • I think about the 17th? It's comfortable: I like it here.
