We arrived yesterday evening in Augusta for a visit with Alan's family. We're staying at the Doubletree because it's nice, clean, and most importantly, pet-friendly. It's Esme's first road trip and you know how kids misbehave in hotels when their parents aren't around? Well, it's her first prank call too.
Last night Alan set the telephone onto the floor, so his bedside table would have room for his CPAP machine (he has sleep apnea). Moments ago we returned from breakfast at the hotel restaurant (yummy) and called the dogs. Esme came bounding out from under the bed, bounced on the telephone on her way over to us and we heard, via speakerphone which she'd apparently activated, beep-blip-beep-blip-blip-riiiiiiiing! Alan disconnected the call, but Esme telephoned someone this morning.
We suspect she wanted room service.

I'm sure she was ordering caviar and champagne . . . the good stuff ;)

She tried to order a magnum of Dom Perignon, four Pupperonis and a large chew-bone.

Like mother, like daughter? You're in for hell when she hits the teen years. That was very cute, btw.
