Because Nancy asked, photos of the necklace Theresa brought me from Jamaica - with and without flash.

Tonight when I got home, there was a package waiting for me! My friend the Green-Eyed Vixen told me about a great line of bath products I needed to try: Lush. Well, they make other things, all sorts of cosmetics, but y'all know I love me some bubble baths, so that was my main focus and her reason for suggesting it. I bought several of the bubble bars; the Vixen says this one not only smells nice but turns the water golden, so it looks like you're bathing in liquid gold. I don't think I'm going to try that one tonight - I'm probably going to go for this one, for a long sensuous soak. I got two bath bombs too, and they included some small-size freebies - a buttercream lotion, a soap and a shower gel. If they're half as wonderful as the Vixen says, I'm going to have to think of a new blog contest just so I can give some away to you. Well, provided a girl wins - I don't think Will or Kev would be too interested in jasmine-and-rose scented bubbles. Though of course I could be wrong about them - I could be wrong.

As you can see I posted a photo of my loot, but they have everything all carefully wrapped so it doesn't really convey the "ooh, box o'delight!" that I had hoped. The cool look of the stuff is best viewed on their website. Here's the gold one the Vixen likes, but there again, the plastic wrap detracts from the sparkly gold of the bar itself.

I stopped at my favorite store, World Market, on my way home to buy a nice bottle of Cabernet, so I am going to have one fantastic bubble bath later on, to unwind and de-stress from the work week. And to make sure I really enjoy it, no leg-shaving. Too risky.

  • Lush is fantastic. I've not gotten anything for ages, but then again, I don't think I've been to a store for ages. Two things: No bath tub (so you can only buy the soapy soaps, which are fabulous, but still), and no money, which, well, you know.

  • I can't believe I survived so long without knowing of Lush. I am looking forward to trying a few more varied ones and deciding on some 'old favorites'. I really liked the "Happy" one I tried a couple of nights ago - fresh, clean, light floral smell, lots of rich bubbles and turned the bathwater a GORGEOUS turquoise.
