Ilia Iacta Est.
The wedding date is set. May 21, 2006, probably at 2:00 in the afternoon. Our caterer was totally cool (like they've been all along), reserved the date and told me to get in touch about signing the contract and giving him his deposit. The venue people were less cooperative and refused to "pencil us in" without the contract and money, but supposedly have nothing booked any Sunday in May so I can't imagine there'll be a big rush before we can go by there with funds some time this week.
I don't have anything funny or entertaining to write about that, but felt that such a momentous moment deserved a blog entry.
Heather is attending, so it's doubly momentous. I wish more of my blog-buddies could come. Several big things are arranged, some are semi-done and a few major things remain, such as choosing an officiant. That's about all. I feel as though I ought to have more to write, but there you have it.

Wow, it's like Gilmore Girls, only without the ugly wedding dress that Lorelei chose.
May is a lovely month. Wow, all that's left is forking over the bank account, huh? :)
