The Breakfast Samaritan
Alan wanted to go out for pancakes this morning so we headed to IHOP. Well, it was barely morning - 11:30 - I sleep late whenever possible. We went to IHOP, got seated and among all the other people, there were two elderly couples sitting a few booths back from us. Once our plates had arrived, one of the gentlemen in the group hopped up, came over to our table and without a word, dropped a coupon on our table for a free breakfast! It was 'buy one get one free' so my breakfast didn't cost a thing, other than the few cents for my Diet Coke. Wasn't that nice of him? All the more pleasing for being so completely unexpected. He did the same for a couple of other tables too. What a nice gesture!

Oh, that's cool. I do love people who are nice for no other reason than just to be nice.
cheers,
Phil
