Y-A-W-N...stayed up too late again last night, this time for a great cause: Lord Stanley's Cup. The Carolina Hurricanes won, W00T! I was happy a team from the Southeast Division won, I admire Rod Brind'Amour and Dougie Weight, I remember Frank Kaberle fondly from when he played here in Atlanta, so a Carolina win was cause for celebration - although to be honest I would have had several reasons to be happy for Edmonton had it gone the other way, most notably Kvitsh and Chris Pronger. I was thrilled, though, that the Conn Smythe trophy went to Cam Ward - what a fabulous performance throughout the playoffs, made even more amazing considering the guy's a 22-year-old rookie. I was soooo happy for him. It was a good game, too - lots of shooting, both teams playing hard.

Oh, and I think my office, or possibly merely my guest chair, is haunted because I keep arriving in the morning to find it shoved from its usual position, which is a couple of feet from my desk, at an obtuse angle so as to be welcoming to visitors, to flush up against the desk with the edge of the chair straight against the desk. It's not the janitorial staff (long explanation about why not, but it's not) and I can't believe anyone would go to the trouble of sneaking into the building, past security, bypassing two floors of fine-jewelry wholesalers and diamond importers, to deliberately sneak into my office in order to do nothing other than disarrange my guest chair. So it's obviously haunted.
