Meme time: 25 Bands, via Bridget. Nancy did this one too. I'm not sure I can come up with 25 because, although I've been to far more than 25 concerts, I tend to see the same bands over and over. Still, here goes.
1. Chuck Berry - my very first concert! It was at Six Flags over Georgia and I was 3 or 4 years old.
2. King Crimson
3. Jimmy Buffett (multiple times)
4. The Rolling Stones (multiple times)
5. Red Hot Chili Peppers (at the Rose Bowl, no less)
6. Jimmy Page & Robert Plant
7. U2
8. Metallica
9. Rush
10. Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
11. Bon Jovi (no comment)
12. Adam & The Ants (hey, it was the 80s)
13. Duran Duran (the 80s is no excuse for this one, I know)
14. The Righteous Brothers ("Ebb Tide"= greatest makeout song EVAH.)
15. Melissa Ethridge (tour for 1st album, when she was a Musician and not a Lesbian)
16. INXS
17. Cheap Trick (I had a season pass to Six Flags that summer)
18. Billy Idol (Six Flags season pass again)
19. The Plasmatics
20. Todd Rundgren (1985 at the Moonshadow...oh, the trials and tribulations and monies I went through to get a fake ID so I could get into THAT one. Er, um, Mom, I mean 1991 at Center Stage.)
21. The Pixies
22. No Doubt
23. Third Eye Blind (opened for the Stones in '97)
24. In Living Colour (opened for the Stones in '89)
25. Al Green/Average White Band
Well, that wasn't as difficult as I thought. There were a number of local bands like League of Decency, Paper Dolls, Heroine, Impotent Sea Snakes, Michelle Malone & Drag the River, that I could have included. I'm a bit disturbed at some of the lameness on the list, versus cool bands I like a great deal that for whatever reason I've never managed to hear live, like Marshall Crenshaw, Elvis Costello and Dream Theatre - meh. Some great shows I've missed because I don't like going to concerts alone, so I have to not only like a band and have money to go see them, but also have like-minded friends, which hasn't always been the case; other times I got shanghaied into going along with friends to concerts for which I don't own a single CD (see Duran Duran, above). Hey, at least I never paid money to see Dokken.

and I'm a bit disturbed that Shaun Cassidy is nowhere on your list!

I was never a Shaun Cassidy fan, actually. I hear Shaun Cassidy adoration as a youngster leads to Buffy fandom as an adult. Da doo run run.
