Last week my friend Ashley called me to catch up; it had been quite a while since we'd spoken. Among other things, a mouse got into Ashley's house, so she bought one of those glue traps. However, it seems that Ashley's mouse is an escapee from some science lab or university where they enhanced his intelligence. She baited the glue trap with peanut butter and the next day, the peanut butter was eaten, with tiny tooth/tongue marks on it, but no mouse. He had found a dead leaf and put that down on the bottom of the trap, so he could stand on the leaf and reach the peanut butter without being glued. Rodent evolution is upon us!
