Today I'm living the hobbit life: breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses. I had breakfast with the guys at the end of our drunken evening, about 5:30 AM. Then I came back to the room to find that Alan had just arisen and was checking Fark. We hung out a bit, then he showered and wanted to go eat breakfast, so I went with him and had some cheese blintzes - this was around 9:30.

Alan and I explored the hotel and environs for a while. Flippy had told us about a neat little bookstore in the hotel complex so we visited there; I only bought 2 new books, a world record for me. There was also a cool store called Lushpuppy that sold high-end pet accessories. We bought Finnovar some treats and a new snakeskin collar. We got Sprocket the funniest shirt: it's a wife-beater with "I heart bitches" on it. We also got him some doggy sunglasses, styled like baby Oakleys, which are called "Doggles". The earpieces are tiny bones. Don't tell them, though - these are surprises, and only if they've behaved well for Grandmama.

This morning also brought my first Las Vegas payout. Shweet!

We walked over to Luxor and called Bo & Sarah, because she'd slept instead of going out on the town; I figured Bo would be asleep and she'd be at loose ends. They were both napping and I woke them up, but they weren't mad. Sarah was hungry and wanted to go for breakfast - this is where the elevenses come in. At first I was only going to have a soda, but aromas and descriptions got the better of me and I ordered some avocado-brie bruschetta. Yummy!

Now we're back in our room - Bo had repaired to Luxor for a shower - having telephoned Flippy to finalize arrangements for this evening. We're meeting her and Leigh-Ann later at The Chocolate Swan and then going to a Wranglers hockey game. W00T!
