I don't want to go to work tomorrow. I want more weekend.
Friday night we ate dinner at Michaelangelo, the restaurant where we're, at least at this point, planning to have the rehearsal dinner. I had a dirty martini and we got into a conversation with the people at the next table about the merits of dirty martinis and turtle cheesecake - which neither I nor the other lady had, but both our mens did, so we stole bites. Mmmm.
Yesterday I never even got out of my pajamas and it was a GOOD DAY. I played PS2 and I had a lovely nap and life was good.
Today we went to Men's Wearhouse to buy Alan some new threads. There are a few our-wedding-related functions coming up, as well as Matt's wedding and potential job interviews for him on the semi-distant horizon, and he felt a wardrobe upgrade was in order. We bought two pairs of lovely wool trousers (both Pronto Uomo) and two sport jackets, one blue and one light brown (JNY and Geoffrey Beene). I shall now pause for a moment as Nancy, Lachele, Sandy et al pick themselves up off the floor at the idea that I got Alan into Italian designer pants. Hey, gals, I got him into the Gulf of Mexico, didn't I???
His stuff is being altered and ready for pickup Tuesday. He balked at the absolutely lovely, soft-as-butter Cole-Haan loafers I chose - and really, what's that about? Cole-Haan make the bestest bestest loafers, even better than Bruno Magli as far as I'm concerned, but he was recalcitrant. I did - okay, all you girls who nearly fell out in the previous paragraph? Alan's Mom? All y'all set your beverages down, get a firm toehold and BEHOLD! - I did get him into cashmere. Ivory cashmere of the softest weave, that matches his trousers.
I am unstoppable. On your knees, Saxon dogs!

We are not worthy, and bow to the superiority of the redhead. Goddess! You are a goddess!
