This is one of those mornings when I’m reminded how much I love this city and how happy I am that I live here.

So, this criminal escapes from a prisoner work detail and commits a crime or three to further his escape. One of those crimes was a home invasion for the purpose of terrorizing the residents into handing over money and/or car keys. Said criminal is now in hospital recovering from his stab wounds. Multiple stab wounds. The female victim was on our local news radio this morning with her reaction to the incident. Please don't think that she was hysterically weeping about how she was in fear for her life or lamenting how such a thing could happen in her nice suburban neighborhood. No, instead she was bitching about how the criminal got blood all over her house: “There was blood all over his shirt, blood on my kitchen floor, blood in my foyer, blood on my carpet!”

That, my friends, is the epitome of the true Southern lady. She has no qualms about viciously stabbing an intruder, but she’s mad AS HELL that he bled on her nice clean floor. I love Atlanta.
