The Hellhole

My favorite snack these days is Geraldine's Bodacious Cheese Straws. They are extremely yummy, although kinda expensive in terms of snackage - $5 will buy you only 5.5 ounces. Tasty, though - extremely tasty.

Yesterday I dropped one on the kitchen floor and Alan, who was standing right beside it, opened the door to the cabinet where I keep the garbage can so he could dispose of the tainted cheese straw. I snatched it from the floor and said, "Hold up, homes! I don't care if it's been on the floor, these damn things are like 25 cents per straw, I'm EATIN' that mutha!" And I ate it. Even though it had been on the floor.

Totally gross, or a daredevil who lives life ON. THE. EDGE. You be the judge.

  • Obviously Alan has not been made aware of the '10 second' rule...and does not know how truly 'bocadius' those cheesy straws are!

Congrats on the Senna mousepad - I know you're happy to have that.

Also, glad you got your car back. It's been more than a 'hassle' for you, I'm sure.

We are due more rain this week, so perhaps some of the pollen will simply wash away, instead of causing you more agony.

    love, mom

  • Tell me this: are they as good as White Cheddar Cheezits? Because I would fish those out of the vacuum cleaner bag and wipe them off on my pants.

  • These are about 20 times better than White Cheddar Cheezits. Did your mom ever take you shopping for back-to-school clothes at the Rich's downtown? My mom did - and these are like the cheese straws from Rich's bakery. But better.

  • Alan says: After spending 15 years of my life working in the kitchen, I could tell you things about the "ten second rule" that would make you think twice about ever eating out in a restaurant again... And yes, they are really good cheese straws. But I like the White Chedder Cheezits also, because we have those in the vending machine at work.
