I have a funny post planned, but it requires pictorial illustration and once again, the evening has run away from me, what with one thing and another, so that post will have to wait. In the meantime, some Vox Questions of the Day:
How do you eat your pizza: flat, folded or with a fork?
Combo. I have a fork and I eat two or three bites from the tip with my fork; then I'll pick it up and bite it, unfolded, using the fork to rescue stray toppings. I like Pizza Hut best, then Domino's, then frozen Red Baron. I am not a fan of Papa John.
What would the title of your autobiography be?
Glorious Results of A Misspent Youth.
What's your favorite radio station, past or present?
WKLS in Atlanta, 96-Rock, was my instant favorite the moment they went on the air - which they did with The Who's Baba O'Riley, bit of ATL trivia for you there - but they have gone steadily downhill in the last several years. Their playlist still looks solid, if you look at the groups, but it is possible to commute every afternoon for a week and not hear anything less than 3 decades old. Don't get me wrong, classic rock is great, but the occasional tune from any year beginning with a "2" would not be amiss. Lately I've listened to 105.3 The Buzz, but their playlist is very, very, VERY, VERY, VERY, VERY repetitive. I like the songs they play, but not for the 4,000th time today. I do not exaggerate. One week, I'd never heard Buckcherry's "Crazy Bitch" and before the next week was out, I could pick up my guitar and play it, note for note. In the mornings, it's always WSB-AM for news, traffic and weather. They rule.
What's your dream career?
I'd love to be paid to write, especially to write about things I love - for example, I'd love to work for a small newspaper or magazine where I reviewed a variety of things, and not be "The Movie Critic" or "The Food Critic" but get paid for writing about books, movies, TV shows, restaurants, bands (both live performances and CDs).
Windows, Mac, Linux - What's your preference and why?
None of the above. Seriously, once Alan came into my life with Linux and Red Hat and panthers and tigers and leopards oh my, I revised my opinion of Window$ as Satan's OS. They are all equally annoying, just in different and endlessly varied ways. I am at the moment on Windows XP because I am using my shweet little IBM Thinkpad, while he surfs in the next room on the Mac Mini, which is very cute and wee, but lately has taken a dislike to Firefox and crashes it every third minute.

Re the crshing firefox - it seem to be that you need to be very up to date with your versions - it gets picky when websites get ahead of it... make sure firefox and java etc are all up to date and the crashes will likely disappear for a bit.
that said I play Runscape through Safari as Firefox gets all nippy about it after a bit. Java again, so there may be something in the way Firefox deals with interfacing with Java that could be a problem.
There ya go Helly, a real Comment! ;-)

After being a philanthropist, my dream career is to be paid to give my opinion...about everything. But not too deep of an opinion. I could never be, for instance, a book critic, because I just don't want to think that deeply. I think you should write for Entertainment Weekly though - a big audience. The Hellhole would be a great column title too.

K, I visited your blog and tried to return the comment favour, but this morning G-mail gave me a delivery failure, "host or domain name not found" which may be why you're not getting more comments.
Flippy, I think I should write for EW too. Arrange that, will you eh? I think what would be hard about being a critic is that my mood would affect my opinion, a lot - for example, have you ever seen a movie that, in a certain frame of mind you'd find thoroughly annoying but you know in another more lighthearted sort of mood you'd find it hilarious? Or maybe it's just me...
